LifeStream Behavioral Center has been meeting the behavioral healthcare needs of Lake & Sumter county residents since 1969.

Through the years, LifeStream, just like the community we serve, has grown and progressed. Today, LifeStream provides a full continuum of services from psychiatric hospitalization and residential programs to day programs and outpatient services for children, adults and seniors. LifeStream also provides social services to children and their families through our child welfare programs, and our children's early intervention and education programs. 

In Fiscal Year 2006, LifeStream provided over 280,000 visits for nearly 22,000 unduplicated clients. Our Board of Directors and 600 member staff are steadfast in our mission "To Bring Hope to Life by Empowering Individuals and Families in the Communities We Serve to Achieve Recovery and Resiliency."
